   एक तरफ यह संविधान का संरक्ष्क अंतिम व्याख्याकर्ता मौलिक अधिकारों का रक्षक केन्द्र राज्य विवादों मे एक मात्र मध्यस्थ है वही यह संविधान के विकास मे भी भूमिका निभाता रहा है इसने माना है कि निरंतर संवैधानिक विकास होना चाहिए ताकि समाज के हित संवर्धित हो न्यायिक पुनरीक्षण शक्ति के कारण यह संवैधानिक विकास मे सहायता करता है सर्वाधिक महत्त्वपूर्ण विकास यह है कि भारत मे संविधान सर्वोच्च है इसने संविधान के मूल ढाँचे का अदभुत सिद्धांत दिया है जिसके चलते संविधान काफी सुरक्षित हो गया है इसे मनमाने ढंग से बदला नही जा सकता है
